Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Studio Novo. These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between Studio Novo (“we”, “our”, or “us”) and our clients (“you”) when purchasing our web design services.

1. About These Terms

By purchasing our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

2. Quotes & Pricing

All prices are quoted in GBP (£). Our quotations include only the services outlined in your chosen package. Any additional work requested outside the agreed scope may incur additional charges, which will always be discussed and approved before work begins.

3. Payment Terms

A 50% deposit is required before your project begins. The remaining 50% balance is due once your website has been approved and is ready to launch. Your website will be published only after the final payment has been received.

4. Project Timeline

Most websites are completed within 3–5 business days from the date we receive:

• Your completed project information
• All required content and images
• Your deposit payment

Delays in receiving content, feedback, or approvals may extend the project timeline.

5. Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide all necessary information required to complete your project, including where applicable:

• Website content
• Images
• Logos
• Brand assets
• Feedback within a reasonable timeframe

If your website requires a custom domain, you are responsible for purchasing it unless otherwise agreed.

6. Revisions

Your package includes 1–3 rounds of revisions, depending on the package you have selected. Revisions are intended for refining the agreed design and content. Requests that significantly change the original design, structure, or project scope may be treated as additional work and quoted separately.

7. Additional Work

Any work outside the agreed package, including additional pages, new features, integrations, or significant design changes, may be subject to additional fees. We will always provide a quotation before proceeding with any extra work.

8. Domain & Hosting

The domain name remains the property of the client and is registered in the client’s name. If requested, Studio Novo can assist with connecting your domain to your website.

Hosting and our Care plan are included in your website package for the first 12 months after your website launches. During this period you may upgrade to Care Plus for £20 per month. Before the 12-month period ends, we will contact you, and you may choose either to:

• continue with Care or Care Plus, so that we continue to host and maintain your website; or
• receive your website files so that you can host the website yourself. If you would like us to move the website for you, this will be charged at our standard update rate.

If neither option has been chosen by the end of the 12-month period, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and send you your website files before hosting ends. E-commerce websites are built on third-party platforms such as Wix or Shopify. These are hosted by those platforms, their subscription fees are paid by the client directly, and the hosting and Care plan terms above do not apply to them.

9. Care Plans

Care (£15 per month or £150 per year) includes hosting, regular backups, security and uptime checks, fixes if the website stops working, and email support. Updates and changes are charged separately at our standard update rate.

Care Plus (£35 per month or £350 per year; £20 per month during the first 12 months after launch) includes everything in Care, priority email support, and up to 30 minutes of updates each month, such as changes to text, menus, prices or opening hours, or replacing photos. Unused update time does not roll over. Larger changes, such as new sections or pages, are charged separately at our standard update rate.

Monthly plans have a minimum term of 3 months. After the minimum term, you may cancel at any time by giving 30 days’ notice by email. Annual plans are paid in advance for 12 months.

10. Website Launch

Your website will be launched once:

• The design has been approved
• Final payment has been received
• Your domain is connected (where applicable)

11. Intellectual Property

Upon receipt of full payment, ownership of your completed website content transfers to you. Studio Novo retains ownership of its original templates, design systems, reusable code, and other proprietary assets used in the creation of your website.

12. Portfolio

Unless otherwise agreed, Studio Novo may display completed projects, including website screenshots, your business name, and logo, in our portfolio, website, and social media for promotional purposes.

13. Cancellation

If you choose to cancel your project after work has begun, the initial 50% deposit is non-refundable. Any completed work beyond the deposit value may be invoiced where appropriate.

14. Limitation of Liability

While we take every reasonable care in delivering our services, Studio Novo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of your website or our services.

15. Changes to These Terms

Studio Novo may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
